Have you ever had one of those weeks that was just chock full of busyness? So far this week has been pretty busy for us, and since my daughter wanted to do the letter "R" this week, we thought it would be a great time to stop and smell the "r" is for Rose (even if it's almost Winter)!
1. We used the small letter "r", but you could probably use the large letter "R". Just fold the extra bottom piece to make it look like a petal. I printed the "r" on a piece of white cardstock. I also traced it on the back, so that I could still see the lines to cut it out after we were done.
2. My daughter painted the bottom part of the "r" green.
3. We then put glue on the top and used red tissue paper, but you could also use red napkins, a red streamer, or red paint.
4. We let it dry and cut it out.
So it may not smell as good as a real rose, but it's still a beautiful rose! For more Letter "R" activities, please see my article: Letter R Activities.
